Oh my, it has started

The day I dreaded. I’m not sure why I dreaded it, most probably because it confirms that I’m getting old. That day - the day where I hear that one of my original school friends is getting married. If you’re reading this, then big congrats to you Jambo and Niccy, it’s awesome news. (Can I just plead that whomever ends up as best man mentions the drainpipes. No-one should be allowed to forget about them.)

But damn, friends getting married. Other friends from school have children. Frightening stuff. I’m clinging relentlessly to my independence and responsibility-free life. It can and will last forever.

Been Out

That’s it. Been stupid busy. Work, work, and thankfully, there’s been loads of surf recently. Also been flickring a bit. So my creative juices have been occupied elsewhere. Sorry.

Who are you?

People carriers

On my way home today I was passed by a string of four people carriers. One Renault thing, two Vauxhall things and one other massive unidentified thing.

Combined number of seats: About 30
Combined length at the traffic lights: About 35 feet
Combined number of passengers: 4

Yep - 4 massive cars, 4 passengers. Crazy.

Fun times ahead. Strewth.

Word up y’all. Ahem.

Just thought I’d let you know that one of my other blogs, Six and Out has been approached, has accepted and is thoroughly looking forward to the prospect of double-teaming the readers - by adding a faint Aussie twang to the editorial diction.

That’s right - strewth mate, stone the flaming crows, and throw another shrimp on a barbie - would you all say a very warm g’day to Six and Out’s latest blogger - Duncan Riley.

Feel free to make him feel very welcome, or not… right about here.

Small achievement

I’ve just posted the 150th film review on this site! How appropriate it was that the film I reviewed (Wolf Creek) got a 5 (out of 5) rating.

So if you didn’t know they were here, you can read what I think of a bunch of films, by clicky clickying right here.

Today was a shit day

So yesterday I had a great day. Today I had a shit day. Not only did my camera tripod break, which means no long exposures until I can replace it, but my car also went pop too. Dodgy fuel pump according to the AA man who took forever to arrive. He was a nice man though. A very nice man. A very very… etc.

So not only is my motorbike broken, my car’s broken, my tripod’s broken, my… everything’s broken.

In the words of Chandler… “Heyyy! That ripped! That ripped real nice!”

Grr.

Today was a good day

Sunset SurfI’ve become totally addicted to Flickr. It’s such a great website, that you could literally spend all day looking at stuff. And the standard is incredible - there are so many talented photographers on there.

And whilst I still wait to be Explore‘d, I got a serious ego-boost today when the lovely people at the The World Through My Eyes group selected one of my photos for their “admin’s choice” which meant that they blogged me! Thanks heaps guys, I’m really flattered and totally stoked.

(On top of that, a bunch of other people commented on my other photos, I got added to a load of contact lists, and my surf after work was pretty awesome… so yeh, it’s been a good day! :))
