I will be able to sample Guinness as it ought to be drunk. I’ve been a Guinness drinker for about 7 years now, and I flipping love the stuff. But I’ve never had a proper Irish pint of it (I have had Nigerian Guinness from a bottle, which is actually fucking minging). I’ve drunk Guinness in some pretty far flung locations, including some random “Irish” (Irish my nob) “pub” (pub my nob) in Honolulu (terrible), and an actual Irish pub (with Irish people and everything) in San Francisco (not too bad, all things considered. Though I don’t recommend drinking it for a good 14 hours straight and then trying to watch the England vs Australia Rugby World Cup final if you want to be able to remember anything about it. Or if you have to fly to New York the next day. Ouch.).
But yes, I’m visiting the motherland to attend a conference.
