Nottingham to Bideford, via France!

This is something I saw on tonight’s Top Gear. A viewer used the RAC Routeplanner to plot a journey from Nottingham to Bideford (N.Devon). The only stipulation was that they didn’t want to use any motorways.

And what did the intelligent, all-singing, all-dancing, make-it-easy-for-you route planner suggest? This:

nottingham to bideford via france

That’s right – Nottingham to Bideford via Ireland and then France! Incredible.
