The day I dreaded. I’m not sure why I dreaded it, most probably because it confirms that I’m getting old. That day – the day where I hear that one of my original school friends is getting married. If you’re reading this, then big congrats to you Jambo and Niccy, it’s awesome news. (Can I just plead that whomever ends up as best man mentions the drainpipes. No-one should be allowed to forget about them.)
But damn, friends getting married. Other friends from school have children. Frightening stuff. I’m clinging relentlessly to my independence and responsibility-free life. It can and will last forever.
I know, it’s so wierd hearing about mates getting engaged! Brings on a cold sweat. Fortunately, none are yet with child, phew, but it’s undoubtedly only a matter of time, arrghhh. That will really put the pressure on!
