You're reading a really old version of matt-thornton's website. For example, if you're looking at the movie reviews... you'll notice that none of them are of recent films. Indeed, I leave them here for posterity's sake, but I doubt very much that they'll get updated anytime soon. So have a giggle.
You might, if you're lucky, find something recent from Matt at his blog matt's debates. Kernow bys vyken.
another adam sandler film... goosfraba
This is probably one of Adam Sandler's funnier films, but that's not saying a lot. It's an enjoyable little flick, but can be tedious in places, but with enough funny bits to keep it ticking over.
Buddy (Nicholson) is an Anger Management therapist is asked to rehabilitate Dave Buznik (Sandler) after an innocuous incident on a plane involving an air stewardess. Buddy's methods are a little different, and as he looks to become more and more senile, with his methods getting more and more obscure, Dave slowly begins to realise what's going wrong with his own life and aims to make amends.
It's an Adam Sandler film at the end of the day, and you'll get what you're expecting if you've seen any other Adam Sandler films. Jack Nicholson is good as the psychotic therapist and Marisa Tomesei is fiiiiit. Enjoyable, but I would say that I had already seen this when I rented it again. So enjoyable, but not memorable.
