You're reading a really old version of matt-thornton's website. For example, if you're looking at the movie reviews... you'll notice that none of them are of recent films. Indeed, I leave them here for posterity's sake, but I doubt very much that they'll get updated anytime soon. So have a giggle.
You might, if you're lucky, find something recent from Matt at his blog matt's debates. Kernow bys vyken.
it's a huge bitch
Produced by Adam Sandler, this film does what you'd expect from the Rob Schneider/Adam Sandler school of filming. Cheap slapstick laughs with lots of penis.
Deuce Bigalow (Schneider) is a loser who cleans fish tanks. When he randomly agrees to look after the house of a gigalow to look after his fish whilst he's away "giving women pleasure" he runs into trouble when he destroys the apartment and has to work as a gigalow to earn some money to fix it.
Though instead of being forced to sleep with a string of beautiful women, he is set up with 5 of the most weird and weeeeeeeird women known... a big fat bitch, an 8' giant, someone with Touret's, someone with narcolepsy, and someone with a false leg (Arija Bareikis, who's actually a total honey)...
Cue lots of funny slapstick jokes, heart warming moments, and inevitable controversy as he's pursued by the police and races against time to get the apartment sorted before "Antoine" returns.
The first time I saw it, I laughed my nuts off. The second time, I laughed even more. Now, a few times later, I'm not laughing so much. There are some very funny moments (more in the actual dialogue rather than events or funny incidents) and it's a fairly generic Adam Sandler film.
You'll be saying "Freeeeeeeeak/Hey! Keep it in the circus!/Behemoth/That's a huge bitch/Hey fish guy.../Excuse me for a second, must make peepees" for weeks to come after watching it.
It's short at just 88 minutes, but it has definite rewatchability about it. Worth watching, and buy it, if it's cheap.
