You're reading a really old version of matt-thornton's website. For example, if you're looking at the movie reviews... you'll notice that none of them are of recent films. Indeed, I leave them here for posterity's sake, but I doubt very much that they'll get updated anytime soon. So have a giggle.

You might, if you're lucky, find something recent from Matt at his blog matt's debates. Kernow bys vyken.

Dog Soldiers

the one line review:

bad dog

the overview

Werewolves are living in a forest and eating stuff.

the plot:

A group of soldiers are on mission and encounter some seemingly indestructible werewolves. Pah.

the verdict:

Another "dog" (geddit, geddit? Dog... like werewolf... oh never mind) of a film from director Neil Marshall. Even worse than his follow up (The Descent) this flick only gets an extra mark for some of the comedy lines, which given the situation are almost amusing. This film is not supposed to be serious, but it is supposed to be tense which it isn't.

It's a real dogs dinner, a total howler. Dog-gone it, my jokes are bad.

Ouch.

i'm having a bad hair day ok?
