You're reading a really old version of matt-thornton's website. For example, if you're looking at the movie reviews... you'll notice that none of them are of recent films. Indeed, I leave them here for posterity's sake, but I doubt very much that they'll get updated anytime soon. So have a giggle.

Envy
the verdict:
It turns out that Jack Black and Ben Stiller aren't automatically funny. Given recent performances, I thought you could guarantee that a film involving one of them (moreso both!) would be funny. Which is why we rented Envy - on the basis that it ought to be funny.
We were wrong. Envy is pitiful. Not funny, not clever, only vaguely original and a complete waste of £3.75 from BBuster. I was actually bored by half way through. Do yourself a flavour and rent something else.
