You're reading a really old version of matt-thornton's website. For example, if you're looking at the movie reviews... you'll notice that none of them are of recent films. Indeed, I leave them here for posterity's sake, but I doubt very much that they'll get updated anytime soon. So have a giggle.
You might, if you're lucky, find something recent from Matt at his blog matt's debates. Kernow bys vyken.
ooh, sticky
This film had all the makings of being a pile of shit. I honestly expected something even dumberererer than Dumb and Dumberer. I was pleasantly surprised.
Conjoined twins Bob (Matt Damon) and Walt (Kinnear) have gotten used to being joined at the hip and sharing a liver. They work as a team and enjoy a good life in sleepy Martha's Vineyard. But when Walt wants to move to Hollywood to pursue an acting career, things start to change.
This film really turned out a lot better than I had ever expected. The acting is good, the difficulties surrounding Siamese twins is handled well and there's plenty of shits and giggles along the way to keep you going.
The inevitable deteoriation of the brotherhood is, well, inevitable, and the inevitable rekindling is even more inevitable. Well, it all works out nicely in the end.
A nice feel good flick that's not too serious, but not a bunch of slapstick crap.
