You're reading a really old version of matt-thornton's website. For example, if you're looking at the movie reviews... you'll notice that none of them are of recent films. Indeed, I leave them here for posterity's sake, but I doubt very much that they'll get updated anytime soon. So have a giggle.

You might, if you're lucky, find something recent from Matt at his blog matt's debates. Kernow bys vyken.

The Whole 10 Yards

the verdict:

Chandler Perry. I mean Matthew Bing. You know "the funny one" from Friends. If I was him, after the vast wads of cash I'd earnt doing Friends, I'd hang up my acting socks and go and live on a beach somewhere. In the films I've seen him where he wasn't Chandler, he may as well have been Chandler. It's a bit like Jim Carrey after Ace Ventura - he got typecast into this zany roles. Fortunately, he's dragged himself back a bit with things like Eternal Sunshine, but it seems Matt Perry is in that "clueless idiot who hasn't got a clue" stage at the moment. First there was The Whole 9 Yards, which was at best, alright. Then Three To Tango, which actually wasn't too bad. Predictable sad loser comedy, but still, entertaining. And now The Whole 10 Yards, which, quite frankly, was a big pile of poo. Too disconnected, too disjointed and too random to be at all enjoyable. The odd amusing moment, but that was it really.

So poor ol' Chandly really needs a knock-'em dead role in his next film, or else we could see quite a disgraceful decline from him. Which'd be a shame.
